The Second International Pirate Conference will be held from January 25th to 27th, 2008 in Berlin, Germany.

On Saturday, 26th of January, a public discussion event will tackling he theme of

Pirate life and Private life - News on why privacy prevails over copyright

in the c-base, Berlin. Rick Falkvinge, the Swedish founder of the political Pirate Movement, will be talking about break-throughs in the new developments in Sweden.

This is just a thank you for all the people at metalab, transforming freedom, monochrom, team teichenberg, the academy of fine arts and the quartier21 (especially elisabeth hajek) without whose hard work this conference would never have come off. Not to forget our guests though, who have, all of them, been highly engaged and inspiring to the theme of “next step politics”.

Right now we are working on the documentation, so watch out for the results in the beginning of next week … keep the light burning, Leo

Piratenbüro, ThePirateBay, Piratenparteien – am Wochende von Fr, 8. – So, 10. Juni 2007 sind die Schweden wieder vor Wien!

Rasmus Fleischer, one of the driving forces of the Swedish Piratenbüros and Rick Falkvinge, the founder of the Swedish Pirate Party, will fly into Vienna for talks and discussions. With the Member of European Parliament (MEP) Eva Lichtenberger and others they will dispute the recent challenges that we face as of April 25th, 2007, when the situtation for European Digital Freedom seems to be deteriorating for the long term (also called the „Criminalisation Directive“ IPRED 2 copycrime.eu and fsfeurope.org).
